El Aljibe is a protected architectural element within the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata-Níjar.
The cisterns were an effective solution for the supply of water in the cities during the time of Arab rule. These water storage systems, ingeniously designed to capture and conserve rainwater, were essential for the daily life and sustainability of communities in arid regions.
Today, many of these cisterns remain in good condition, as is the case of the cistern found in EQUILICUÁ, a living testimony to the rich cultural and architectural heritage that survives in the region.

The threshing floor is a protected architectural element within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park.
This open-air space of land plays a fundamental role in traditional agriculture, as it is used to work with agricultural products after the harvest. Specifically, a threshing floor is a level, cleared surface used for threshing, a crucial process in which the grains are separated from the stalks and husks. This term is of particular importance in the context of traditional agriculture and in the history of agriculture in various cultures, reflecting ancestral practices that have been essential to subsistence and rural economy over the centuries.
The protection of the threshing floors within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park not only preserves a significant aspect of the cultural and agricultural heritage, but also contributes to keeping alive the memory of the traditional techniques and knowledge that have shaped the agricultural history of the region.
